Uno que nos compara con mejico. The Guardia Civil in Spain is one of the most corrupt law enforcement group in Europe. I was once stopped in the Zaragosa region for my small van being 65 pounds overweight with cargo. I finally realized that all they wanted was either cigarettes or money. So I gave them both and said "Hasta Luego". Be careful when you are driving on Spanish highways.

Cuando vas a ir a cualquier país con tu vehículo, lo primero es mirar el tema de homologaciones y papeles para circular con el, esto es de cajón, sea el país que sea.

Que más o menos dice: "No se pusieron multas, presentaron cargos, ni se dieron sobornos"
Esta es la marca España que nuestros gobernantes han vendido al resto del mundo.
Sin embargo... bien que han usado hasta la extenuación el temita de "marca España" para intentar evitar que los ciudadanos españoles, haciendo uso de sus derechos CONSTITUCIONALES, expresasen su malestar ante la corrupción, pérdida de derechos de todo tipo, etc, etc, mediante el uso de manifestaciones y demás expresiones LEGALES y CONSITUCIONALES.
Como en MNM, también hay un comentario sensato entre tanto chovinismo:
1) It's called an International Driving Permit, not an International Driver's License.
2) From the U.S. State Department website, just now: "U.S. citizens must obtain International Driving Permits prior to their arrival if they plan to drive in Spain. You are not allowed to drive on your American license. While rental car companies may rent a vehicle to you without the International Driving Permit, this is illegal and, if pulled over for a traffic violation, your rental car may be detained and towed to the nearest impound lot."
3) From the Spanish National Tourist Organization website, just now: "If you are the citizen of an EU member state, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein: you only require your valid driver’s license. If you are from another country you will require an International Driver’s License."
It sounds to me like the writer, Brett Berk, is just making up his own "facts" after he got caught.
Why an American would go to Spain any more is beyond me. I hear you can be arrested and held indefinately if say a Prosecutor wants to accuse you of Witch Craft in a murder someone else has already confessed to. Beautiful country; still in the 1600s.

¿Pero dónde dicen que ha sido? porque la única localización que dan es Montserrat en Cataluña, y ahí no hay Guardia Civil de Tráfico.
