Un equipo liderado por Juan Carlos Izpisua-Belmonte ha publicado en science un experimento en el que al eliminar un gen importante en el mantenimiento de la estructura del ADN más condensado (heterocromatina), las células mostraban un envejecimiento acelerado. El descubrimiento ayudará a diseñar fármacos antienvejecimiento.
