Provisional results on Monday showed the left-leaning Greens coming in fourth in the balloting with 69 seats, an increase of 17 from the last election five years ago.

The page was removed with no explanation, but they were at least still taking requests in a Google Doc and giving out bootloader unlock codes. Today, the news is much grimmer. Huawei will stop providing unlock codes completely. The announcement says they have stopped the unlock code application service to “provide better user experience and avoid issues caused by ROM flashing.” The service will be stopped in 60 days...

If you don’t recognize his name, John Ellenby was a British computer engineer who came to Xerox PARC in the 1970s to manufacture the Xerox Alto, the first graphical workstation. He left Xerox in the late 1980s to found Grid Systems, makers of the Compass — the first full-service laptop computer.
