"Denn wirklich bin ich gestorben der Welt"

Y me he vuelto loco porque creo que está muy mal escrita esa frase.

Si quiero decir que "estoy verdaderamente muerto para el mundo" , en alemán diría "ich bin für die Welt wirklich gestorben" o incluso "ich bin wirklich tot für die Welt". Pero de la manera de Mahler no me cuadra, la entiendo como " Si verdaderamente estoy yo muerto de mundo".

A ver si alguien que controle alemán nos explica lo que ha pasado.
