Luego se reagruparon como Eric Burdon and the Animals, basados en California y acabaron metiéndose en muy requeteserios problemas con la yakuza en un fallido tour japonés que les acabó de quitar las ganas. Pero entre medias dejaron infinidad de interpretaciones propias y ajenas que son la releche en bote una detrás de otra:

Básicamente no están tocando porque es playback, no llevan ni la guitarra enchufada, no hay cable, no podrían haber grabado la secuencia dando una vuelta completa entre columnas con un cable por muy largo que fuera. La fuerza de rozamiento de las columnas, batería y demás les sacaría el cable del sitio.

Por eso hacen playback y como guitarrista, me parece normal que en esa época les pareciese ridículo.
