#2 Yo tenía entendido que en los aeropuertos se usan dos tipos de escáner:
-de onda milimétrica - que no usan rayos X
-de retrodispersión - que utilizan rayos X de baja intensidad.

Y entiendo que ahora se retiran estos de "retrodispersión", cosa que me parece genial. No me sentiría cómoda pasando por ese tipo de escáneres que no dejan apenas nada a la imaginación

#5 Pues yo no estoy tan seguro. La radiación que tú enlazas, de 1 mm, también se puede utilizar para hacer un escáner, incluso en 3D, cosa que los escáneres basados en rayos X no pueden hacer. La equivalencia en terahertzs al escáner de rayos X es en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millimeter_wave_scanner .

Donde quiera que busque encuentro que hay escáneres corporales que funcionan gracias a la dispersión de los rayos X.
