Eric Woolfson - We are very sad to have to tell you that Eric Woolfson passed away in the early hours of this morning after a long and brave battle with cancer. He very much enjoyed seeing all your kind comments and posts on this Facebook page and his family wanted to thank you for your appreciation of his work.

#7   Hm vaya, que noticia tan triste para mi, soy un fan de la musica de Alan Parson's Project, y creo que han dejado huella haciendo grandes canciones, clásicos para mi como Eye in the Sky, Old and wise, Don't answer me, Games people play y Time (entre muchas otras).

Tuve la oportunidad en el 2005 de ver a Alan Parson's en directo, la verdad sonaba muy bien, pero la voz de Eric era inigualable.

Descanse en Paz Eric.

#11   Muere un gran músico que será recordado por muchos años (al menos al grupo al que perteneció)

#12   Hace poco se cumplió el aniversario de la muerte de Richard Wright y ahora se va otro de los grandes.

A pesar de hacerse famoso junto con Alan Parsons (realmente tuvo muchísima más trascendencia en el grupo de lo que realmente ha quedado patente), era un crack de los pies a la cabeza. Ahí están Freudiana y More Tales of Mystery and Imagination como pruebas fehacientes.

En fin, una pena. Nos pondremos el Turn of a Friendly Card como homenaje

#14   Una de las mejores Bandas que he escuchado nunca.

Da la sensación de que todas las mentes creativas de antes de los '90 están desapareciendo últimamente y no están dejando sustitutos de nivel.

No me extraña que busque referencias en diarios on-line españoles y todos están demasiado ocupados con noticias de sucesos y chorradas importantes varias.

Soy fan de The Alan Parsons Project desde 1986 (tenía 12 años) cuando mi padre compró el Stereotomy. Un año después, él murió, y yo pasaba el tiempo escuchando su colección de discos. A lo largo de los años fuí completando la discografía: quizá algún día (lejano, espero), alguno de mis hijos haga lo mismo y descubra un poco de buena música...
